Tutorial 1 · Getting Started

Create Your TutorBird Account

After you complete onboarding, we send you a Portal Login Information email with everything you need to set up your account.

  1. 1Look for the email from Just Start LA via TutorBird with the subject “Portal Login Information.”
  2. 2Click the password setup link inside the email and create your password.
  3. 3Save your password somewhere safe, then return to the login page.
  4. 4Sign in with your email and your new password.

Tutorial 2 · Your Sessions

Log In and Join Your Sessions

Once your password is set, the portal homepage shows your upcoming lessons and gives you a direct link into each virtual session.

  1. 1Log in at app.tutorbird.com. We recommend bookmarking it so it is easy to find.
  2. 2Your homepage shows the lessons scheduled for the week.
  3. 3When it is time for your session, click the “Lessonspace Room VIRTUAL” link on the lesson to join.
  4. 4Use Google Chrome for the smoothest Lessonspace experience.

Tutorial 3 · Scheduling

Book a Tutoring Session

You can book time with your assigned tutor right from the portal, based on their live availability.

  1. 1From the homepage, click “Book a Lesson.”
  2. 2The calendar opens to your assigned tutor's availability.
  3. 3Pick any day and start time that works for you, then click Continue.
  4. 4Review the lesson details and click Book Now to confirm.

Tutorial 4 · Homework

Submit Homework Before a Session

Uploading materials ahead of time lets your tutor review everything and come to the session fully prepared.

  1. 1From the homepage, go to “Homework Submission” and click Submit Homework.
  2. 2Confirm the homework is going to the correct tutor.
  3. 3Upload your files and add the assignment name.
  4. 4Include any notes you want your tutor to see, then save.

Frequently Asked Questions

I forgot my TutorBird password. What do I do?

Just let us know and we will send you a password reset link. You can reach us by phone, email, or the contact form on this site.

Can I set up recurring sessions with my tutor?

Yes. Reach out to us and we will input the recurring sessions on our end, so you do not have to rebook the same day and time each week.

Which browser should I use for virtual sessions?

We recommend Google Chrome. It is the browser Lessonspace works with best.

How do I join my virtual session?

Log into the portal and click the “Lessonspace Room VIRTUAL” link on your scheduled lesson. It takes you straight into the session.

Do I have to submit homework before every session?

It is optional, but we encourage it. Sharing materials ahead of time helps your tutor prepare so session time goes further.
