Hi! I am Jordyn Shapiro, the person you want on your educational team! Having recently graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychology, I’ve experienced a wide range of educational styles and understand what truly works. My dream is to give back to the community by doing what I love: educating, mentoring, and coaching. I began tutoring at 15, and my passion for it has only grown since.
I’ve observed a significant gap in education today—executive functioning skills. I am dedicated to guiding students on a personalized path that’s right for them, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Often, children I work with say, "It’s too hard” or “Let’s do it later." My response? JUST START. My goal with this business is to make “just start” a mantra that excites and empowers every student, building their confidence and drive.
With my strong communication and organizational skills, I aim to provide everything a child needs to feel motivated, capable, and ready to tackle any challenge!

Hi everyone, I’m Téa! I recently graduated from UCLA with a Linguistics and Psychology major and Education Studies minor. Throughout both high school and college, I have gained extensive experience working with children of all ages in settings such as speech pathology, occupational therapy, and other various classroom environments. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that each child faces. In my current role as the Chief of Operations at Just Start LA, I am dedicated to creating and implementing programs that support the academic and personal growth of our students. My passion for advocacy drives me to ensure that every student receives the individualized resources and support they need to succeed. I am committed to fostering an environment where all students can thrive!

Hi, Kayla here!! I am currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying Human Development and Communications. I’ve always had a strong passion for connecting with others which has fueled my drive in marketing. With being the Marketing Coordinator , I look forward to being the connector of this business to the world, allowing JUST START to flourish to its greatest potential. I plan to oversee all communication when it comes to marketing and advertising purposes. I’m ecstatic to be apart of the Just Start family!
