Together, we’re committed to making a meaningful impact in the fight against pediatric brain cancer.
Catch a Smile: Just Start LA is thrilled to support Catch A Smile, a heartwarming nonprofit founded by 91‑year‑old Harvey Keenan. Inspired by lifelong childhood memories — like playing catch with his best friend, Garry Marshall — Harvey built this organization to create deep friendships and uplift children facing hardships through simple, joyful connections. Whether hosting volunteer clubs at local schools or organizing community events, Catch A Smile brings hope and smiles to kids who need it most. Together, we’re helping spread positivity and build lasting bonds, one friendly “catch” at a time.
Insight to Teen Culture: Just Start LA proudly supports Insight to Teen Culture, a dedicated collective of mental health professionals — led by founder Stephanie Bien, LMFT — that equips tweens, teens, young adults, and their families with tools to navigate today's challenges via workshops, classes, events, and parent coaching. From bullying prevention and screen-time guidance to anxiety management and coping skills, they share practical solutions and build stronger communication across generations. Together, we’re fostering resilience, connection, and understanding in families throughout Southern California.
FishBowl: Just Start LA is excited to support FishBowl Youth Entrepreneurship — a dynamic program igniting creativity, confidence, and real-world business skills in TK–12 students. What began in 2020 as a passion project has grown into a full curriculum that’s empowered over 400 young entrepreneurs. Through hands-on lessons, mentorship, and scholarship-funded access via the FishBowl Fund, FishBowl equips every child, regardless of background, to dream big, innovate, and lead with purpose.
